Report Writing

You will receive a written report of the research findings.

The report can be written in various ways depending on your preference and need.

Standard Research Report

A standard research report will provide the client with a clear outline of the research question/family tree members and, where able, will include pertinent facts about their life, e.g. birth/death/marriage/occupation/where they lived.

The amount of information to convey will necessitate how this information is presented.

Narrative Report

A narrative report provides context to a person’s life. It contextualises a life within the community and often the wider world. A narrative report can be written about a person’s life or one aspect of their life, e.g. war experience/immigration journey. An example of a narrative report can be found here.
